The Ivory Cross

The Ivory Cross is the Dutch Association for Oral Health. The association is a household name in the field of promoting oral health. In the first place for its members, approximately 2500 dentists and dental hygienists. In addition, for (other) dental care providers, healthcare providers and institutions, training and educational institutions, GGD and municipalities, media, manufacturers, health insurers and the public. The Ivoren Kruis is also happy to assist you with your work in the field of prevention and information. Also read our mission, vision and ambition.

Promoting oral health through education is an important task of the Ivory Cross. The Ivoren Kruis not only provides information through patient brochures, but is also active in education (Project Keep your mouth healthy!), the media and politics. In addition, the association focuses on stimulating scientific research, policy, communication and networking. The members help to realize these important tasks. The Ivoren Kruis wants to achieve an even greater reach and broader support among the relevant target groups. The spearhead of all activities is prevention, the foundation of oral health.

In 2010 the Ivory Cross was 100 years old! Dr. H. (Huib) Kalsbeek wrote an anniversary book in the context of this lustrum. Interested parties can here the book 'A clean tooth does not spoil' to order.

Cooperation

At a policy level, the Ivoren Kruis works together with the Royal Dutch Society for the Promotion of Dentistry (Royal Dutch Society for the Promotion of Dentistry, among others).KNMT) and the Dutch Association of Dental Hygienists (NVM). The KNMT and the NVM make it possible for both professional groups to provide high-quality dental care, so that the oral health of patients improves.

In order to be able to guarantee the information provided by the Ivoren Kruis in the future, the Ivoren Kruis works together with partners in the business community. Partners of the Ivoren Kruis sell products that promote oral health or otherwise contribute to improving oral health.
