Nominees Prevention Prize 2024:

Together with Dental Tribune, we challenged you to describe in 500 words which great prevention initiatives you have developed, in order to compete for the Prevention Prize 2024. We received 19 entries from 14 applicants for this call. One contributor suggested two initiatives and another even five. There were some very nice and creative ideas. The initiatives concern creative information directly at the chair, complete prevention programs and multimedia projects with the use of, for example, video and apps.

Below are the contributions - in random order - of the three nominated entries according to the jury, which consists of emeritus professor of preventive dentistry Cor van Loveren, professor of prevention and therapy of periodontal diseases Fridus van der Weijden, dental hygienists Paulette Bröcker and Ina Steenbruggen and Dental Tribune-editor-in-chief Reinier van de Vrie.

Which of these three nominated entries will win the first prize will be announced at the Congress of the Ivory Cross held in Utrecht on April 20.

Prevention Prize 2024

Good entries will be honored with a check: 1st prize: 250 euros, 2nd prize: 150 euros, 3rd prize: 100 euros and publication in the Dental Tribune media channels. The best three entrants may also choose a book from the range of publisher Prelum. The Prevention Prize is an initiative of the Ivory Cross and Dental Tribune.
