The new KIMO guideline shows the current insights into the caries disease and answers frequently asked questions in practice. It shows how you can best approach prevention in children and which treatment methods you can apply for caries.

'Will it be Caries prevention advice (@Ivory Cross) followed?' is the starting question. There are then various recommendations on how an oral care provider can motivate children (up to 18 years old) and parents/guardians to keep their teeth intact. The guideline recommends using the Gewoon Gaaf method

Onno Hofman, chairman of Ivoren Kruis: 'The caries prevention method Gewoon Gaaf uses practical step-by-step plans for children and their parents in which tremendous health gains (up to 70% caries reduction) can be achieved. Fortunately, we notice that more and more practices are working according to the Gewoon Gaaf method. As Ivory Cross we are pleased with the name and surname of our project in the new guideline.'
