The Caries Prevention Advice is intended for anyone providing professional advice on preventive oral care. This advice is based on national and international scientific sources and practical experience in the field. The advice is general and intended for everyone (the basic advice) and includes additional advice for active caries.

In September 2025, the Scientific Advisory Board of the Ivory Cross drew up this new Caries Prevention Advice, which replaces the previous advice from 2011.
