{"id":4142,"date":"2024-07-04T10:11:54","date_gmt":"2024-07-04T08:11:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ivorenkruis.org\/?p=4142"},"modified":"2024-07-04T10:16:23","modified_gmt":"2024-07-04T08:16:23","slug":"aan-de-slag-met-gigagaaf-to-go","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ivorenkruis.org\/en\/nieuws\/aan-de-slag-met-gigagaaf-to-go\/","title":{"rendered":"Get started with GigaGaaf-to-go!"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"vc_row wpb_row vc_row-fluid\"><div class=\"wpb_column vc_column_container vc_col-sm-12\"><div class=\"vc_column-inner\"><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\">\n\t<div class=\"wpb_text_column wpb_content_element\" >\n\t\t<div class=\"wpb_wrapper\">\n\t\t\t<h2>Get started with GigaGaaf-to-go!<\/h2>\n<h5>GigaCool-to-go! is the project of the Ivory Cross, UMCG and TNO to improve the oral health of the youngest children.<\/h5>\n<h4><strong>With GigaGaaf-to-go!:<\/strong><\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Clinics and dental care practices come into contact with each other and make agreements about collaboration.<\/li>\n<li>Parents of young children hear at the child health clinic about the importance of regularly visiting an oral care provider for check-ups from the time the first tooth erupts (from approximately 6 months old).<\/li>\n<li>Parents receive advice about which oral care practices they can visit.<\/li>\n<li>Are there more children in the Netherlands with perfect teeth?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>From 2014 to 2023, the UMCG and TNO conducted the GigaGaaf! research. executed. This shows that the GigaGaaf! approach, in which the youngest children are guided to the dental care provider at the clinic, is effective. The children had fewer early caries at the age of 5 than children who only came to the oral care provider at a later age. With the help of the Ivory Cross, among others, GigaGaaf-to-go is being launched!<\/p>\n<p>Oral care providers are challenged to collaborate with neighborhood clinics. JGZ employees can also take the first step to collaborate with oral care providers, so that they can give parents advice about visiting oral care practices.
